• after the MKH40 (cardioid), the MKH20 was the second model of Sennheiser's newly developed HF studio microphones from the mid-1980s onwards
• because of its ability to switch between free-field and diffuse-field equalization (+6 dB), it is ideally suited for both close range and distant sources outside the reverberation radius
• slight directivity at high frequencies
• low distortion and exceptionally low inherent self-noise (10 dBA)
• 10 dB pad switchable
• withstands high sound pressure levels
